Lunar eclipse on the Fourth of July

     The Moon rules, "the Public," that emotional mass of humanity who respond to the energies of the world. Like water, like oceans, like tides, the collective response we calculate as humanity is not of the mind, but of the feelings.  Notice how crowds are not moved by talks of taxes or infrastructure, which are killing the industrial world, but are swept away by talks of sex, birth, women's bodies and murder. Those topics get immediate reactions, because emotions are swifter than thoughts.
      Consulting the chart for the United States under this Lunar Eclipse, which will be visible in North America, the public is in danger. In danger from truth, of all things.  The truth of our infrastructure, of our foundations, of our governments, and of our corporeal selves.  Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and the shadowed Moon, are all together at opposition to our USA solar position. We are being faced with our history.

         June has indeed been the turning point of the year. Communication that has been buried for centuries is now on the table, and voices that were never heard are now at the forefront.  So far, it is chaotic, but it is too concentrated to be dismissed. The best part of all, is that we are hearing, for the first time, horrific history that is our own. Listening is a new revolution.  Keep speaking, keep filming, the news is now in all of our hands. Every story of abuse and exploitation can be not just said, but seen and heard!  We have cameras and recorders in every hand.

      One of the easiest to exploit characteristics of the people of the USA is our eagerness for communication, conversation and news. We are as fickle as the news, but we can be seduced immediately by the something new to talk about.  That overwhelming love of information will be the saving mechanism for the review of our history that is happening.  We could lead the Age of Aquarius reasoning if we give back to our founding nations the worth due them. 
     To Native Americans, a fair price for all the land and water and air and minerals we have stolen.  To African Americans, 400 years of wages and a return of property stolen. For African Women, full restitution for the damage caused by all the white children begat upon your unwilling bodies. The glorious rapists of the south, can have all their dicks knocked off, as their statues fall. How do we find these resources to pay for the damage?  The 1%. Divide it up.  The President, as a good example, can go first, along with his family, tally up the golf trips, the funds given to his businesses, and put all of that in the hands of American Citizens. We also liberate the concentration camps of the border, Trump, Inc can pay for resettling those families. Next, Bastille Day! open the prisons, they are slave camps and can be transformed into wind farms and orchards.

If we all get sick, whats the worth of your stuff? The planets in Capricorn are truly the signature of ultimate discipline and reality. In ordinary parlance, Capricorn gives us the wisdom and frugality of winter.... but with the whole sky meeting in that sign this year, the winter is melting the arctic.

At the Turning of the Tide, sat the New Blood Moon

   
      Splits the sky! Where have we heard that phrase....? Usually with weather, well this time with solar system dynamics. 
      Spirit of the twins... the equals, the competitors, the neighbors, the tribe has just had a violent shaking. And now feel the layers of lies of centuries brought to the surface. All is visible. And all is fragmented.  What two directions split our universe? Right and Wrong? You vs Me? Which two?              Suppose they gave a War.... and nobody came? An old slogan from fifty years ago or more.....Well, someone tried, and nobody bought it. Instead, a new paradigm for Gemini rose up and took over the headlines. The old sad TV show, stale, scripted, censored, and corrupt has rolled over to  Tik Tok? Snap? or liker.com? The wheels of communication are still in spin, and the turning is going to  a young, fast, unified group. 
      As Mercury finishes its travel this month, families are feeling the upheaval and changing hierarchies. Again, the New and Old stay at opposition  in June and July. Cancer, ruler of the newborn, opposes Capricorn, ruler of the old. The Turning point will seem subtle, personal, and even emotional, but it is carried on a much bigger tide that is affecting everyone.  Our personal losses are now the great human loss being carried out beyond our control.  Suspicions abound, and money, as always is the real mover of politics.  No morality is more important than economics, says the history of the world....
       Everyone is choosing, backing into corners where... uh oh, bright lights are being cast from still greater sources. Saturn in Aquarius, Neptune in Pisces, big lights, with universal batteries, and archetypal principles. Everything is revealed. Mercury and Venus and the Moon are little forces in our Solar System, their cycles are seasonal. Their super power is bringing the big news to the everyday eyes and ears and noses of the living.
       Mercury started it, on Wednesday, June 17 as it slowly emerged from stationary, still motion.
 Oh yes, fast little guy can slow way down in the week before the actual, measurable backward, retrograde direction. So, we began to feel the suck, the ebb tide, the under-tow as it pulled from Cancer, 13 degrees.  Now, Venus bewilders us all, with her slide into stationary direct motion, (June 24-25th) She is in Gemini, still smirking, still teasing. Oh, and the New Moon in its own sign, Cancer, with an eclipse and an opposition to the sun and moon from no less than Jupiter, Pluto.... and almost Saturn. Was a week of more surprises and tricks, and coming from young, smart communicators, upending a system guarded by old men who are mostly blind, deaf, and the other thing... 
        2020 is showing us how low we can go in using humanity as fodder for profit. The very wealthy are not bothered by overpopulation, they  are harvesting from it. Just like every resource, those who can profit from it, will.  Can this Age of Aquarius Moment, where we all feel the world as one, be held alive for the future?  Can we live in a fairer world?
       The signature for this year is bankruptcy. Of the USA, of our collective funds, and of the efforts each of us have made to carve a world for ourselves. As our sense of collective protection breaks down, and chooses property over humanity, our gains will mock us.  Gold, highly recommended by the stock market jocks, is not food nor drink. Gold is merely a belief system, like money. What will become real is what we can farm, eat, weave or ride,

and trade with our fellow humans.

We are witnessing the Saturn Return of the LA Riots for Rodney King. Saturn in Aquarius.

          The demonstrations to protest a murder by authorities of an innocent citizen are rooted in the very identity attributed to our nation. That all men are created equal and have a right to life! and not be murdered. Yet they were shifted out of original intent, shoved into violence by those who weren't protesting George Floyd's death, but are exploiting it for harm. Still, the passion is deepening, and the entire story is not nearly finished.
         The whole world witnessed this murder, and now the whole world is replying...
        March, 1991 saw the LA riots over the beating of Rodney King, twenty nine years ago. March 2020 is the Saturn Return of that event, Saturn having entered Aquarius in the earliest degree. The parallel is more than police brutality and race, it is the universal response that reached so many people! The effect of Rodney King has become a foundation point in modern injustice. Rodney King was one brutality stacked upon thousands, but then, as now, it was SEEN. We have the light of the sign Aquarius, which is of all the signs, the human one, lit again. This time, a new media found the crime, and because the new media is in the hands of everyone,  EVERYONE can experience this murder.
And we are.
          The social time of the year during Gemini, late spring, with its mild weather and blooming nature welcomes the weddings, the family groups, as Gemini is the ruler of sisters, brothers, cousins, tribes, clubs, neighbors, networks, community and communication.  But this year, nothing but distortion is occurring in our natural spring urge to meet and connect.  The retrogrades of Venus and Mercury have and will continue to throw reversals, untruths, broken connectors, and lies of a universal sort. The planets are in riot in this month, and have angles so perfect that launching a rocket and tearing down the white house are equally favored. This is a sign of change, restlessness, news, variety, impatience, and constant stimuli. Adding retrogrades of values, and soon, communication, should blow the lid on many, many US institutions of commerce and communication and education.
        Did we mention that Gemini rules the lungs? the sacred moment of first breath, when the soul enters the body matches the exit of the soul.. at last breath. The soul is on fire in the symptoms of Covid-19. Reading the first hand accounts of how it feels to live it and live through it, will make us cherish our every breath. Tear gas, pepper spray, take our breath. Covid-19 scorches our ability to breathe.
     Our murdered George Floyd said, I cant breathe.  It is prophecy.

         Gemini has a great influence on the USA, being the rising sign of our natal chart, cast from the signing of the Declaration of Independence at 2.14 am, a carefully chosen moment. In this chart resides immense wealth, resources, and the ability to protect and grow that wealth: Jupiter, Venus and Mercury in Cancer are in the second house.  Mars and Uranus in the first house are in Gemini, proving our quickness, danger, and inability to be controlled. Right now, the whole sky is in Gemini, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus, for an extra long presence as her retrograde will show 3 passes through Gemini. The present retrograde phase reverses and turns inside out the principles of Venus. Those are values: as in, money, love, beauty, freedom, safety and whatever we cherish. The third phase will be in July, when we reap the harvest of the emotional out-pouring that is tearing our national lies into shreds. This is a chance to see the opposite point of view, the other side of the story.  Yes, we are clashing, but yes, we are hearing, and because of the support of Saturn's position in Aquarius, all of humanity is also aware.

Venus, Star of the Show

       Venus  is the brilliant bright star after sundown in the West, and  has been at her brightest. As May proceeds, Venus sinks lower each night until she is lost in the Sun's glare. On May 13 Venus will be stationary retrograde at 21 degrees of Gemini and 50 minutes. The first reminder from Venus is to watch your money, it is changing, flickering, and is in mild chaos.  All our Values are Venus determined. Are you one who values freedom? or safety? Money? or Beauty? Art? or Oil?  They all demand a price, and many of these valuables keep their price when others fail.
      June marks a huge reckoning with the United States and coincidentally, its leader, whose importance is his solar degree at 22 Gemini.  The United States has the planet Mars at 21 Gemini.  We have gone to war with two of our Gemini presidents, JFK, and Bush I. Will we go to war again with a president born in Gemini, significantly interacting with Mars? Is Venus a war planet? Not to the Greeks, who invented our version of western astrology that we use today, but Venus was the War planet of the Aztecs. Most visible and brightest object in the sky, after the sun and moon, Venus' complicated cycles were utilized by ancient observers all over the world.
     Gemini rules trade, commerce, communication, community, tribes, relatives, siblings, cousins, and the networks of work and home.  Our cyber world is vulnerable during this Venus cycle. Check your connectors your chargers,  and everything that keeps your electronics clean and working. Venus will retrograde from May 13 to June 25. Chains of supply could face delays, accidents, odd breakdowns, added to the already vast networks of supply and demand dealing with the interruptions of the pandemic. This Venus cycle will slow us down yet again, yes, again. This is excellent for contemplation, meditation, living slowly and with deep focus.  Many relationships are saved and/or damaged under these cycles of Venus. The reverse motion is a different point of view of familiar and close objects.  Insights not possible at normal Venus reveal themselves now. We will be forced to look closely at what we value, and how we would change, if faced with change.
      The USA has Gemini rising. Our identity has forever been based on our quickness, our mobility, our youthful, optimistic, restless curiosity and love of communication.  We are seeing ourselves now from outside in, and inside out. What are we really saying, hearing? If communication breaks, who will you listen to, and who will have the truth or even its imitations?  Gemini is dualistic, multiple, and unconcerned with process and order. An already damaged nation will be assessing a new series of damages and revelations for the next two months.

Sun Uranus Conjunction, April 26th, 2020

    One time, each year, the Sun passes in front of our view of Uranus. Yesterday and today marked that illuminating event. We can expect some news, news of change, of truth illuminated.  Maybe we will see an invention of startling impact be launched right now.  Notice the information that comes to you today. It has a freshness, an awakening, and it is startling.  Today is a day that could change your year.  Thunder and lightning are all around as I write, and Uranus rules lightning, and the sign it is in, with the Sun, rules that echo of lightning on the land... Thunder... Taurus.
    The discovery of the Planet Uranus took us beyond the seeing of the human eye. We had to invent telescopes to see this planet, and it was found in the 1770's. Also, in that decade were made the first discoveries using electricity. And most famously, in that decade were the political revolutions of France and the Colonies that became the United States.
    It is a planet, then, of reversals... finding energies beyond our reckoning, seeing governments and systems overturned with violence and  permanent consequences. It is a planet of efficiency, as the energy of rolling is easier than rotating. It rules the place beyond visible structure, Saturn, and it crashes through barriers, rockets through space, and changes time.
    It is a planet that doesn't rotate on its axis, it rolls. Uranus is inverted 90 degrees to the elliptical plane, which is the flat horizon that holds the Sun at its center and all the planets of our solar system revolving around it.  Uranus rings are vertical, not horizontal. It is the harbinger of difference, of reversals, and yes, of revolutions!
    The corruption at the base of our changes today, will rot before it has time to fully destroy the mainsprings of life. It will not kill all the people but it will kill enough to make a gigantic difference.
Uranus entered the sign of money and value in May of 2018, two years ago. It disturbed the status quo, and it really changed MONEY.  Uranus spends seven years in each sign of the Zodiac. In Taurus, which rules the values of earth, the values of the time, and the value at the base of our barter systems, this planet will tear up the ground it shines on.
    The last time Uranus was in Taurus was 1935-1942. The New Deal. The war for oil. Then was when oil became the base of the barter system.We fought Germany and Japan for the energy to build and destroy.  Those seven years of destruction and  new technology are being revisited, and lo, .... oil has become cheap, valueless.  The Koch brothers, oil running through their veins, have no chance to save their investments in oil.
     Planets, evolution, the Ages of the Zodiac roll on, in spite of a marketplace.  The planets, in fact, will mirror the changes in the marketplace.  Take your stocks out of oil.  The new energies are already here, already growing, inevitable, like it or not.  The new age is water and air, electricity and wind.  Put your sights on the future, it will be lighter and brighter.

   Every thirty years Saturn makes one cycle around the sun, spending two and a half years in each sign of the Zodiac. 2020 gives a double Saturn Message, as the planet leaves its own sign Capricorn and slips into Aquarius for the next few months
   We can measure historic events and trends watching Saturn through the signs. It is always the underlying issue of everything else, whether personal or universal. Money and politics respond deeply to the Saturn Cycle, as our current example shows extraordinary wealth, coalescing on itself. The Capricorn trait of hoarding for winter is  showing up as a colossal effort to keep wealth intact and separate the mass of money from humanity at large.
     Saturn indicates the moral of our immediate time. In Capricorn, where it has been since the Winter Solstice of 2017,  it means conserving resources, measuring resources, and rebuilding from the depths and core of what is vital to survival.  This includes physical reality, the earth, and its bounty, as well as abstract reality, the rules of law. Law is supreme in Capricorn, and the ultimate law is life.
  Saturn in Capricorn is an ultimate reality encounter. We know the lack, the void and the threat.  Our mission, is to  make foundations and infrastructure as true as possible and to provide for the future. Our time is running out to repair, and maintain. The loss of life this year is a culling and pruning, which Saturn is famous for. It is called the Lord of Karma, and its visage is often the Grim Reaper.

   Saturn in Aquarius is a new story altogether. Aquarius rules all of humanity, the global relationships that humans share. It represents the greater social systems, or, How are we all going to get along together? Now, and forever.  The fact that an epidemic has brought us all to each other's attention is showing how insistent this planet can be.  We could have come together over other Aquarius concerns, like the health of our planet and its ability to support all of the persons depending on this earth, and many have been trying to accomplish just that.  The World Mind is also indicated by Aquarius, that is, the frequencies, of all sentient beings, and their collective intelligence.

   Is the planet ready to toss off the human race, to save itself? The shouts and warnings are behind us, the apex of the attack and reaction is upon us. 

   The United States has the Moon in Aquarius, high in the top of our national chart.  This is our image to the world, Aquarian, the knower of things, the technology innovator, the lifted lamp beckoning all of the teeming, huddled masses to come here. We are the new age, the one that will hold our history for the next two thousand years.  Saturn is giving us a glimpse, lasting only till July, of what we could to to cooperate, enhance our collective world, and reorganize, according to the Human story, the life on earth. 

   But in July, until mid December, Saturn will retrograde back into Capricorn, sign of the boss, the dictator, the authority, the law. We are in a crisis of who is the law, how strong is the law, can the law be ignored?  Well, nature's law is the ultimate, and she will have the final word.  Winter Solstice of 2020 will see the final conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. This will show us how far the devastation reached. As Saturn and Jupiter both pass into Aquarius in January, world intelligence  will have an opportunity to use resources with an eye to the future. Or will we  decide all together to trash the world to the last person, to squander all we have.

   The planets are neutral, but they are eternal. What lessons civilization has learned are due, because of cycles, to forever return.  A flea on a rat on a ship killed a lot of people just a few centuries ago, Now, a virus on a bat is taking it smaller... but to oh, so many more people.

Horrified, depressed. Realizing that the Age of Aquarius has its trials, its wars, its terrors and its own brand of wrongness. The social, humanitarian, communicative, electrical age is moving grandly into the resistance to the obvious, and we see society fighting to the last drop, as social norms struggle to stay in the liquid, watery Age of Pisces. The Age of Pisces is over, but as the ruler of ideals and deceptions, its flickering..
 and sucking like an ebb tide. This year hammers home the inevitable and massive rebuilding of society, humanity, and communication.  Dec 21, 2020, conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.

WHY ARE WE IN SUCH A MESS?
The big picture is that we are changing into the Age of Aquarius..

The year 2000 was collectively used as the marker for the Age of Aquarius to begin. The Ages measure the Great Year of 26,240  revolutions around the sun: the time it takes for the spring equinox to retrograde through the entire Zodiac, staying in each sign relatively 2000+ years. The Greek and Roman period was the Age of Aries, putting humans above all, championing war, conquest and the supreme authority of Man. Iron conquered bronze, 1900 BC to birth of Christ.
The rise of the great religions;  the westward expansion of immigration; the use, and end, of slavery, all marked the biggest influences of the Age of Pisces. It has lasted for 2000 years- and in its final moments-is using oil and chemistry to be the source of importance for everyone.

Since the discovery of electricity, the rise of democracies, and the revolutions of France and the USA colonies, we have lived the struggles of the dawning of a new age, a new consciousness, a new point of view. Now, we live in an age of science, Aquarius is an air sign. The air element is associated with the mind, both the world mind, the human mind, and the canopy of air that surrounds us equally, and carries our transmissions of thought and intelligence. This is the mind of earth, the communication of the trees, the soil, the rocks, the biosphere, the oceans and light all working in a great unified sphere.

WHY 2020 IS SO FRAUGHT!?

There is not a month in this calendar year that doesn't bring an astrologer-melting amazing planetary grouping of some kind. The big players are the Giants: Saturn and Jupiter; Matched with the violent planets, Mars and Pluto. Neptune and Uranus have insidious roles, Neptune handing out epidemics, fear, and hidden agendas, Uranus messing with security, money and bringing sudden changes.
Joyous, all of it.  I have been seeing and dreading these planets for months, whispering to those who dare to talk to me, some hints....
But I'm tired of hinting, here is what the planets are showing me.  I could be more or less appalled, but if I get the virus, here... I said it.

January  was the beginning of the Jupiter Saturn Conjunction in Capricorn.!!! and Pluto, the Sun, Mars, Mercury and The Moon shared that place.  All the forces we understand were sucked into a potent, concentrated mix, of history, transformation, expansion, violence, communication, love and life. Two very impacting times were most decidedly on the new moons, December 27, 2019, and January 25, 2020. we only have 10 planets, including the sun and moon, seven of them hung together this month. Capricorn rules responsibility and reality.  It is the north, the mountains, the winter, the authority above all, that we die in winter, if we don't take responsibility for our sustenance. the year, 2020, brings up our entire social human fabric, torn and filled with disorganization.  The sense of Karma, as we sow, we reap is unfolding in our lives. As the earth burns, as radioactive waste pours into the oceans, we are getting reaction. Capricorn is the foundation as well as the crown, foundation and investment in real truth are the tasks of this month and year.

February
the conjunction still holds, of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, but the big news was Mercury's retrograde through Pisces, sign of water flowing to its source, the circulation of each state of water, germs and chemistry. Mercury's retrogrades are not equal or equally harsh, but when other planets are involved, the effects are expanded. This mercury tangled with the Great Planet, Neptune, ruler of Pisces, now sitting in Pisces since 2011. This sign and its planet rule chemistry, the circulatory and regulating systems of the body, especially its natural defences against disease. The viral explosion was also helped by Venus in Pisces, helping us disbelieve that anything could be so bad. Venus is sweet. Then when the sun went in Pisces on the 23rd, the coverup burst. It became personal, through touch, at the New moon on the 24th. Rumors and misinformation are wildly helped by this configuration.

March
the conjunction now is visible in the morning sky.  Mercury ended the retrograde on March 10th. Venus in Taurus conjoined Uranus in the early degrees of Taurus, the sign that rules money and banks, on March 9-11th. Uranus is volatile, and has been in Taurus since 2019. its orbit is 84 years, so the last time Uranus (sudden change, communication, electronics) transited the sign Taurus was 1925. Uranus stays in each sign 7 years. so 1925-1932. years of the stock exchange boom and bust, and now 2019 -2026. Taurus rules actual worth, not fads or whims.  Only things of real worth last through this cycle.  Therefore the talk of ideals, love, freedom, and art are everyone's hope.
Mars spent the month making conjunctions with all the Capricorn planets, Jupiter 18-19th,  Pluto, 23-24th and Saturn, March 31-April 1st. Mars is energy, translates to action, speed, force, momentum and violence. It also rules blood and is the God of War.

April
Mars and Saturn have pulled ahead into Aquarius, where they affect the global reach of humanity.
this month will focus on the cooperation, and relationships that are the greater world. The epidemic is poised to wreck havoc on mass populations. Concentrations of groups are highly targeted.  The sun in Aries with Mercury favors the individual and solo dimension of society, and the power of the individual to be heroic and dominating.  Venus moves into Gemini, where she will stay for months. This will be a time of networking, community, communication through the beneficial, loving Venusian energy, and may bring a solution of a natural kind to a limited number. Not to trust it, though, because on May 14-5th, Venus will retrograde in Gemini, reversing the progress made in late April.  be very careful of mistrust fueled by miscommunication, that will erode family groups, neighbors, siblings, and tribal networks. Danger to the grid, and our mass communication systems. Also could be rewarding innovations out of the crush.

May 
"War's brewin." a new kind of war. United States has the planet Mars at 22 Gemini. When this degree is radically focused, we have war in this country. 9-11 was Saturn on this degree, with Mars opposite, retrograde. Now is a different mechanism. Venus will be insidious, benign, hinting no harm, and yet will deliver an invasion of a sweet seeming kind. Her retrograde starts May 15. Jupiter retrogrades next to Pluto on the following day, and money will really start to reinvent itself.  No word of that though, until Venus is direct, after June 11th. Saturn also retrogrades, May 11th., holding the background story of the year, Aquarius, take care of the people, and Capricorn, save the gold. The slow backward sweep of Saturn will now gather in the population of the world, and cull until its
finish in Capricorn, Oct 1st. The results of the disaster will begin to be counted. The official version, that is. The true numbers will surface in January of 2021.
Retrogrades of outer planets are not felt as personally as we feel inner planets, Mercury, our minds and our schedules, Venus, our worth and our attractions, and Mars our energy and will to live. Look to September for Mars.


June
The cheerful time of year, when the sun in lively Gemini goes over the USA Ascendant in Gemini. Our natural immaturity, joy, optimism, and endless need for communication, rallies us. But its a split reaction. Half are optimistic the other half, dead or grieving. Mars will be in Pisces, which can be more lies, deceit and cover ups, as well as an acceleration in infection.  It could also be a break through in the cure, but wont be a public event.  Mercury will begin its summer retrograde in Cancer, opposing Jupiter and Pluto, divisions are the enemy and divisions are growing like mad.

July
Mars moves into Aries, its own sign, and new leadership becomes evident. Mercury, still retrograde in the sign of home and family, disturbs home life. Many upheavals in basic domain, until the 11th. Isolation is still in the mix, but it keeps the divisions both active and secret. The Sun and Jupiter/ Saturn will be at opposition all month. Will be a brilliant sight in the night sky, especially as the full moon conjoins Jupiter on the 19th and Saturn on the 22. Invisible Pluto, (a real planet, y,all) holds the solar opposition as well. This is our maximum danger point as far as self betrayal goes, choosing the wrong path, and severing close bonds. Some of it is a trick, but some of it has been in the making twenty years or more. USA very vulnerable to invasion, and usurpation.

Mars sits at right angles to Jupiter Saturn, as they oppose the sun, so the fight is hot. Its status quo, in a way, because this month has no New positions. In fact, its a reckoning time with the events of January, as Saturn retrogrades back into Capricorn, and the blame falls back on its originators.  This is about money and resources.  They have changed in 20 years, since the last conjunction and more is known and oil is finished. This month sees an escalation or perpetuation of the struggle, fight, battle for the solution to our crisis of humanity.  Is money a more basic value than freedom? Is humanity a commodity to be harnessed, or a source for all creation? The severity of the planets of 2020 are nothing but a reflection of how much revision needs to be done, for our species to preserve life and order.

This month is always for the reestablishment of system and routine, so its the marker for the year of whether or not our pandemic is solved and whether or not, war is involved.  Was this, in fact, germ warfare?  Mars, in Aries, will retrograde in a diabolical right angle to Jupiter: translate:war and money are at war! It,s all about the money, and what will hold up our currency as oil loses to air and sun and water.  The world's resources are at stake, and the solutions are fighting between selfishness and universality, the symbols of the Age of Aquarius, the group vs the individual.  As if we haven't been seeing this for decades.  But in 2020, it's time to make it right, or crash it all.  Our resources include our lives, our freedom, our planet and our air. Will we go back to school, or not?

October
The agreeable,  balancing sign of Libra watches the Sun oppose Mars as both of them Square  Jupiter and Saturn, with Mars, brilliant orange in the southern sky, still retrograde in its own sign, Aries. The last Mercury retrograde of the year starts in Scorpio, sign of collective trust and money, on October 13th, in a nice trine with Neptune.  All will stay covered up, hidden for another few weeks. The infection could mutate, find another level of invasion, or make a last lunge, before it starts receding.
Venus in Virgo will stir up the population in favor of service work, as we review our depleted health system. This could go in several ways, not favorable to insurance companies.  The gamble rationale is over, climate change will decimate the old insure you-if-you-dare paradigm, humanity will find out how valuable it is in the game.

November
Will there still be an election? Mercury has been retrograde in many presidential elections, so that's not enough to cancel, but it helps create chaos!  This time it will be stationary (not progressing or retreating) exactly on election day. What the hell. it means either we go nowhere, or its just not even an event.  Mars comes out of retrograde, mid month, still locked in the square to Jupiter Saturn, who have not left Pluto's proximity all year. If there are recounts, disparities, they will be declared by November 21-24, as the Sun moves into Sagittarius.

December
Nothing is really settled. The empty coffers, the missing family members, the friends the jobs the industries, will they come back? Not possible. Not possible to regain the trust in Money that we shared so willingly.  Venus and Uranus oppose in the two signs of Money, Taurus (real) Scorpio (whats shared) and so the battle for ownership is still on.  Gold? Land? Oil? War? Food? Medicine?
all are being considered for what to build on.  Somewhere in there, must be humanity, the ultimate resource for ourselves.  The GREAT CONJUNCTION is exact on the Winter Solstice, dec 21st Jupiter and Saturn conjoin at the first degree of Aquarius.  Mars and the Moon will be at 22 degrees Aries at the same time, meaning all of us will feel this! some heat, we predict.

What a year.  The Old Farmers Almanac, so useful for seeing planets, calls this "the year of our lives"for planet watching.  I call it the year of our lives, for world watching.  The moral is conserve, love, and remember; these are cycles, they are inevitable, we are making big choices.

THE MIGHTIEST CONJUNCTION OF ALL, JUPITER AND SATURN. EVERY 20 YEARS.

The most recent conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn was in equalizing, balancing, Libra, in the year 2000. Every twenty years these two giant planets reach the same point in the zodiac, coinciding their two orbits, of Jupiter, 11.6 years, and Saturn, 29.4 years. Ten years forward, they will sit opposite each other. Because of the speed of these two, it will take the entire year of 2020 for the conjunction to reach its final touch.  Winter solstice of 2020, December 21.

so what does it mean?
 Well, it means what it looks like, giants are colliding.
These are always socially impacting years, a series of great events, and a change of culture and society that is all encompassing. The effect is so huge, and so enormous, that it takes a look back to understand it. Did we have cell phones twenty years ago? Our relationships have changed because of the events of 2000. Look at the relationship of the press to politics. According to the Press, Gore won the election of 2000. Freedom of the press was a fundamental tenant of Democracy. Without knowing whats going on, the populace has no power at all. Where was social media 20 years ago. All of our relationships took major revolutions from 2000. The present conjunction is not about Libra and relationships, it is about Capricorn, the ultimate responsibility for resources. Just like a visit to the principals office, Capricorn calls us to duty, rules, and responsibility.

This year of 2020, carries the hardest task asked of any of us and all of us. That is, to expand and contract at the same time, in the signs Capricorn and Aquarius. Our natural growth, indicated by Jupiter, is restricted in Capricorn, thwarted in blunt, rule bound way. Obstacles abound, and the right direction is to use the Capricorn super power of law. What law? Ultimately Gods law, which is Nature,s law. The resources so natural to us, have to be guarded, repaired, and built to the needs of our times. The excesses, whatever they are, cannot survive no matter how heavily the Jupiterian theatrics are thrown in. Jupiter is fortune, luck, bigness, money, superior position, the king of the planets. It is bound now, in inhibitions and old, old habits. As Jupiter steps up, optimism is all encompassing, but in Capricorn, the opportunities are shrunken, the laws atrophied, the generosity withheld.

 Last year, in 2019, Jupiter and Money were in the sign Sagittarius, so the money was moving, all over the world. fast and often too fast to trace. Now the money is in Capricorn. tied up. gone. buried. withered. Money  now is best used for foundation building, in the architectural, engineering sense. and in the pure sense. Money is looking for its new true source. That has been oil for at least 80 years. World War One, was our first fight over the liquid source that would become wealth for all. The shift to the new source, air, and sun, was in 2000. but we didn't shift. No, we clung to oil, and gave up our democracy.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, has been in its natural sign since the winter solstice of 2017. On that day, the Sun, and Saturn shared the same place in the sky, the 0 degree of Capricorn. For thousands of years Astrologers have looked at the Sun's aspects on the Winter Solstice to tell us what kind of year is ahead and what will be the health of the world. The interpretation of 2019's winter solstice group would have to mention that we are bound, that the conserving, deep, gripping hold on life is at a crisis point. As winter measures our resources, so now the earth is measuring. Laws of survival have shifted. We are being taught new actions through old laws. History is mocking our technology.  We are being called into account for waste, and for wasting resources. Our crisis was lack of authority, duty, law and preparedness, the best of Capricorn.
Capricorn, the winter solstice sign, represents the shortest day and the longest night. It is the nadir of our growth season, and the measure of our ability to survive the winter and the dark.
Now, in our thirty year cycle of social interaction, and world survival, we are faced with all of our resources being put to the ultimate test of survival.

2016 Saturn in Sagittarius, its a global world for real.

        No matter what is going on in the inner solar system, eclipses, Mercury retrogrades, Mars/Venus conjunctions, the paramount astrological guide all the time and each year is the position of SATURN. No matter what the currents of the planetary cycles are doing, everything has to refer to Saturn. He is called the Lord of Karma, the limit, and the form of our lives. To know Saturn is to know that there are laws in the universe. Yes, some seem contrived,  but some are so natural we have forgotten them.Time can come from invented clocks or the everlasting sunrise and sunset, but we obey these rules of time.     

     All the devices of our Earth, Moon, Sun and planets give us parts of what Time means. The Sun is a day and a year, the Moon is a week, a month, and a little more than a year. the Earth and Sun provide seasons and the measure of light and dark. Mighty Saturn rules the bigger aspects of time, 29 years to once circle the Sun. Seven years to quarter its orbit and two and a half years to give to each sign of the Zodiac it once orbits the Sun. Saturn is the last planet visible to the human eye. It is the limit of our universe. It is the symbol of Father, authority, law, time, and the Winter Solstice.

     The orbit of Saturn is just like the moon, only in years instead of days. The moon changes signs every two and a half days, Saturn changes signs every two and a half years.  For the past six years, Saturn has traveled through the Relationship signs, Libra, 2009-2012 then Scorpio, 2012-2015.
Last year, in 2015, Saturn played with the perimeters of the two signs Scorpio and Sagittarius, pulling us all to new ideas, travel, expansion and the NEXT THING as it occupied Sagittarius on January 4, 2015. But it keep sliding back into the late degrees of Scorpio, bringing up the money shocks, murder and war. Blame was the keyword in 2015, but the new truth, being glimpsed, being hinted at, is Change. Ain't nobody got time for blame no more.... move it out. The world has turned, change happened.
       Now,  in January of 2016, Saturn settles firmly and definitely into the middle degrees of Sagittarius, the ninth sign. By the number nine, we know everything, we have been identified, valued, discussed, felt, expressed, refined and then connected and dissected, so we know death, and what it leaves behind. These past two and a half years of Saturn in Scorpio, have shifted the money. Oil no longer rules, prices are fluctuating, resources are moving around and becoming different items. Is coal more important than wind? Is shale oil worth what vast empty lands full of solar generators can produce? Will somebody stick a conductor into the raging motion of rivers and tides and generate electricity?
      The tug of war over what its worth, who has it, and who is trying to take it..... flopped. That rope everyone was pulling on and fighting for... is ashes.
     Today, the words of Sagittarius are expansion, travel, the wider world, openness, education! Here, knowledge is better than cargo,  and maps may help us more than money. The time is ripe for startling invention, sudden changes and stupendous shifts in what we do and what we are using to do it with.        
       Try new ideas, look for the global perspective and the higher road. Philosophy is big right now, beware the justifications  and be wary of glittering new lies and huckster promises. In pioneering moments the carpetbaggers and drifters are all included. So make your new inventions seen, but don't give away your copyrights.



   

July is the Month. 2014 turns on the events of July

Great Jupiter is changing signs, rolling into Leo just before the Sun moves into Leo. Sun and Jupiter are old icons together, interchangeable often as the power of god. the one head god, the god above all others. Jupiter is largest of the Planets, and is made of the same composition as is the Sun. My theory, based on the Greek one, is that Jupiter divided from the Sun in a mighty explosion, keeping all the force of the main star, but smaller. So it cooled, and receded ,and  more planets were thrown off as Jupiter hurtled away from the sun, spilling Saturn, (out of his forehead, came Athena, goddess of wisdom), then Mars, (who sprang, fully armed out of his thigh), then Venus, (out of his loins, she emerged from the foam of the sea).
      Astrologers watch Jupiter, as its orbit is a easy one to see in the night sky. It is the third largest object in our view, after the moon and Venus in brightness. Its orbit of 12 years around the sun (11.6) is an obvious historical time frame in which to observe changes. We are prone to count in decades, but the Jupiter cycle is slightly more accurate, in terms of human movement and enterprise. Nature follows it too, in agricultural and maritime highs and lows.
        So now, Jupiter leaves Cancer, sign of the home, and the soul, and motherhood and family. Jupiter moves into Leo, sign of the heart, the children, expression and love. Fire is the element here, and the behavior is dominating, demanding and relentless, like the Sun.
Jupter and the Sun are so close in July that their lights are merged. Big change is in the works, deep waves have sounded, and now the light will shine on all. Truth is the light, and glare will blind us.

June has both a Friday the 13th And a Mercury Retrograde!! All Hell should be breaking loose in communications.

This one is just to annoying to ignore.
So! what is different about this little Mercury cycle that makes it worth talking about?
 Because it is rolling back over the USA ascendant in Gemini. The last time this happened, the year was 2001, the month was June, and we were thinking it was going to be a nasty attack on the North Atlantic coast by an enemy paid and equipped by  ourselves.  Well, that finally happened in September. 
 This time, we don't need planes and bombs and explosions to mess things up... because we have cyber wars. Mercury rules all our communication systems, all of them. The USA is especially fond of communications, as our lifestyles illustrate. So if an interruption in our ability to talk, message, and go online happens, what will we do? How will we react? Do those-who-mean-us-harm study our systems and our ways and methods? Yes, they do. And Yes, you need to update your passwords, your  banking  information.  You need firewalls, and security upgrades in everyway you know how.
And do it now, instead of finishing this blog.
Is there going to be a war? We dont have to fight, when so much can be damaged by juust a small planet doing a small detour on its natural rounds.
Notice our sanctions against the champion hackers and virus-makers, do you think they are pissed off? and losing money? Or is it just The Man, as usual, taking all the fun out of living, and the money away from the poor people.

The other blow June delivers is a perfect opposition between the Planet of WAR and the Planet of TECHNOLOGY.... MARS in Libra opposes URANUS in Aries. This uber-savage moment occurs on the 25th of June.  The mighty are in a group right now, a great cardinal square..... Pluto in Capricorn, opposite Jupiter, both square angled at the Mars- Uranus opposition. Mars, war and iron and steel, Uranus, change, revolution, electricity and aerospace, what a pair. Facing off in the signs of war and conflict. the signs of creation and civilization.
Then Jupiter and Pluto, the visible is Jupiter, welcomer to life, to adventure, to money and fortune, with hidden Pluto... the smasher of the atom, bringer of utter and complete change. He is both the gate and barrier to the worlds beyond this one.
So, if it were just Mercury
 we wouldn't mind so much. but all these other duos and quartets, are kind of lethal.
Anyway,  load your jumper cables, air up your tires, grease your knees, and oil your ankles, everything that can go wrong, always does on these little times of Mercury. Karmic? oh, not little ol Merc... just the payback of excess...and the balance of what really is worth talking about.

Brave New World of 2013

                 [Note this is the first blog since Jupiter went into Gemini six months ago, June of 2012. The time period was one to a void, because of the stranglehold politics in America had on all of us. Obama was destined to get a full eight years. This astrologer saw it in 2008, and so it continues, the last gasp of the dream of democracy. Ahem.]

            This year will be one of enormus financial reckoning. Since 2009 we have all been living through Saturn in Libra, the signe of balance, balance between people. Libra is the archtype of marriage, the symbol of the most naturual and ineveitable experience on earth. Everywhere in our lives, our relationships have been paramount. We have lost people and been on trial for our connections and our partnerships Betrayal, loyalty, support and argument have been upon us in situations that are small as well as concerning the whole world. Notice our deeply partisan decade.  Today in the crucible of molten values... world money... we are seeing a new attitude. the lines are not so sharply drawn, because the choice between life or death threatens us all. We can no longer afford to spend our time clinging to a certain half of the great divide. Libra has measured us, now Scorpio will combine us, pay us, or kill us.

Summer Solstice 2012 New Moon in Cancer, water is the new oil.

         The Summer Solstice of 2012 jumps ahead this year (like the heat wave) and comes to us on June 20th at 6 09pm CST.
      This cardinal point in the sun/earth calendar marks the northernmost passage of the Solar Year, bringing us the longest day, and the shortest night. This year the moon will be just one day new and in the sign Cancer, a water sign of great immensity.  Water will be the oil of the future. Indeed, in our drought-haunted summers, which are the hottest on record in the USA, are making water the most important resource of our time. 
         Money is on the minds and in the conversations of everyone.  Money that exists is nervous, and why? Because what is backing world money? From 1940 to 2000 oil was the unquestioned resource, but twelve years ago, the short-sighted, numb-brained powers jumped in and re-declared that oil would stand.  But it hasn't. It is over, short and going on empty. Sure, there are a few moments left, but all can see the end.  No one likes endings. No one says they enjoy change, but as it trickles, change is upon us and temperatures are rising.  Not just the grass is dying but so are the trees. And it is only June.
       The world will not take care of us. It has become overwhelmed.  No one is managing to keep up at all, and in bureaucracies, the collapse is vast.  The time for entrepreneurship is here. We have to in every way provide for ourselves. Dig your own well, grow your own produce, and buy local. this way of life has gained so much momentum that it probably isn't realized as the current trend of survival. Now, the creation of our own work, the selling of basic goods, and the inventions of new technologies are the three things that are keeping the majority of us--employed. 
        Solstice is powerful, and this one calls for Water, and shows fire on the ground. Our community connections are all-valuable. Opportunity for making money will come right from our own tribes, neighborhoods, and close friends.  As we save ourselves, we are still bound in every way to the connections of our people.  Like-mindedness can exist in the working levels of towns and cities, doing what is best for each other will bring a great profit. A local, lasting means to profit comes the same way, in starting to do for ourselves, it is our close associates, maybe even our families who will sustain us as we provide for each other.
         Don't underestimate the power of water. Meditate on the Grand Canyon. It is also quite dry.

Venus Transit of the Sun, Venus Retrograde, Values Reversing, Re-connecting

Every 18 months, in its 245 day orbit around the Sun, Venus appears to Earth perspective to reverse direction and  recede, retro-grading through degrees in space already transited. Five of these retrograde phases compose 8 years, and in the geometry of Venus orbit, creates a five pointed star in its track in space. Venus is associated with all of biological nature especially the fertility of spring. Venus' fruit is the apple, which has a five pointed center.
          During this cycle we are looking unusually deeply into layers of love, value and sharing. All our values are being reassessed, from business values, business evaluations, and the evaluations we are making in out own lives, weighing and taking extra time to asses all the factors. Have your portfolio reviewed and look for evaporation in places that have become obsolete. Expect a moving target as you look around for all the opportunities that are flux right now.  Nothing is quite safe anymore, because everything is changing and everything is linked.
Back up your materials, hard drives, and maybe on paper for some stuff. Especially account numbers that have money involved. Much is advancing and improving but the speeds are in uneven warp, and there are chaotic issues. Many of them. Nothing is perfect, all is moving.
Direct motion of Venus returns on June 29.  New ventures will be well to begin after that date.  Watch communications, and all of its components.  Venus retrogrades now in Gemini, sign of every networking device ever imagined. The Biggest Full Moon?? Are interest rates going to climb?

         The Full Moon of May is called the Full Flower Moon, it is associated with balmy perfumed spring nights, and is one of the most sensual of the year. The Tibetans name it the Full Blessing Moon. It is during this full moon of May that the ancestors come to the highest point of earth, the Himalaya, and give the blessings for humankind for the coming year.
         This full Moon opposes the Sun in Taurus, sign of abundance, beauty, and value, occupying Scorpio.  Scorpio is the point of transformation and sharing of all the substance held at Taurus. This is the marriage point, where one crosses over into the other, and something of value that is shared will bring empowerment.
         The vows of belonging are until death. These two signs are life and death. Taurus of the life giving season rules the throat, which is the organ of death. Scorpio the sign of death rules the organs of life, the sexual organs.  We give value from our lips and our kisses... ruled by Taurus. The Conjunction of Jupiter and Venus, beware the Ides of March!

The money that has been frantic since the Jupiter Saturn conjunction in Taurus in 2000 has finally found a safe moment, a more definite thing, and a sure security. The Ides of March will bring a mighty moment in the sky, and one that we can live on, count on and bank on. The sign of banking is Taurus, all values are ruled by this sign, and the world currency dilemma is being soothed by this grand conjunction in the almighty sign of worth. The losses in world finance were caused by the oil greed of the year 2000. Oil had just a few more years to last since its triumphal placement during WWII as the dominating need to back the money of all the world. But oil has run out. The little bit left, being clung to by the last few will not make everyone rich anymore, and there is not enough of it to justify its meager trickle through the space/time of our technologies. The new oil is WATER. Water is already the currency that will back the future.

The clear skies of February are my favorite, diamond bright and so intensely black with stars like crystal. They say that the beauty of the heavens is so enormous that it must be reduced to just pinpoints of light. If we beheld the total magnificence, our human hearts would burst.
Venus in our lifetime will never be as bright as she has been in early 2012, and will be for another two months. As she moves closer to the sun we will loose sight of Venus in May. Then after a spectacular crossing over the Sun's face on June 6, 2012 Venus will move into her hesperidies position, that is, she will become the star the of morning.
Enjoy Venus' brilliance in the twilight near the western horizon, as she reaches magnitude -4.7. Venus is the brightest object in the sky after the Moon. To give you an idea of star brilliance and magnitudes... Jupiter is at the zenith at sundown, at its brightest of magnitude -2.9. Great Sirius, who flies at the heels of Orion, is steady at -2.0. This year ruddy Mars rises in the east at a magnitude -1.2. It is very obvious, even thought not large, because we are not used to seeing a star there. In the constellation Leo, it shines an amber color.It is listed as transiting Virgo in our Tropical Zodiac. And there,it is shattering our assumptions.
The Mayans were highly interested in the eightfold cycle of Venus, she was the mighty herald of big events, or great changes, an auspicious beacon of War and change. Venus makes an eight-pointed star by counting the corners of her retrogrades which complete the geometric form every eight years. The visible transit across the sun. It would be called an eclipse if Venus were the optical equivalent of the Sun. will be a rare event, and one worth getting special protection to see. Venus transits in only June (Gemini) or December (Sagittarius) which fits our esoteric naming of Venus as the soul connector of Gemini and the karmic lover of Sagittarius.
Venus rules all that we value, be it money or beauty or gold or invention. Where Venus shines, wealth will follow. There have always been wars for gain, and here in 2012 another battle rages in our times for values as morals (do unto others) and values as currency (it's over, oil). Art outlives nations, and gold outlives the human race. Both are created and held by Venus. Investing in Art will not be as ridiculous as the one in gold.
In this year we will see changes to all value, as the systemic changes happening right now are transforming the very food you eat and the ground you walk upon. Our infrastructure, our cereals, our grains, our roads, our computer channels, our water, and the details of communication are all going through a minute yet fabulous resurrection. Not everything we expect will survive the changes. And over it all Venus transits the Sun. Not in all the 20th century did she do this. Once, these transits made world headlines, and people flocked from all over the world to the best viewing places to watch this star. So now,we will wait more than a century hence to see this again. Look to the West after sundown. Venus shines next to the crescent Moon on February 25th, send prayers to the meeting of these lights.

Lunar New Year/ January 23, Year of the DRAGON

Ah the year we have all been waiting for, the Dragon.
The ancients knew of four dragons, the earth (earthquakes) air (tornadoes) fire (lightning) and water (hurricanes). Fossil remains of dinosaurs made Greek and Chinese historians convinced of the existence of Dragons, and the calamities of the earth and its atmosphere proved beyond a doubt of their ability to devour and consume humans, villages, and towns.
So is the year of the Dragon a consuming one? or a devouring one? It is a year of great changes, innovations and new adventures. The sign in western astrology that corresponds to the Dragon is Aries, the springtime and all new beginnings.

MARS, god of war, retrograde in Virgo, sign of systems

Mars, mighty planet that faces the universe on the outside of the safety of earth's orbit, is our protector, our armor, our will and our blood.
The retrogrades of planets are the cycles of change, for good or for ill, they indicate the timing of fabulous shake-ups and brilliant solutions. This one should be mild, being in analytical, careful Virgo. However, Virgo rules all the things most important to our daily existence, like food, the making and growing of it; and health, the breakdowns and the healing places and people; and basically all systems. What we look for in Mars retrogrades is change. Fluctuations in all our systems will be a certain thing, and yet there will be many chances to solve problems. Mars rules action.Taking action in Virgo means fixing things and refining everything, making it work more efficiently. Retrograde, Mars gives us extra time to figure things out, go over it more than once. Take your time in the next several months. Mars is stationary from January 16 till the 21st, when it actually begins the backward orbit. It will go direct on April 11, and finish in Virgo in June.
In the sky, look for it rising in the East around midnight, a bright orange star centered on the horizon. Its retrograde lasts till April 11th, and it will hold that south eastern spot for the next 5 months.
This is also a dangerous planet. It was a Mars retrograde in fiery Sagittarius that brought us 9/11. It was retrograde on Bill Clinton's ascendant in Libra when he was set up for the impeachment trial. It rules anger, war, athletics, violence, machinery, tools, weapons, steel and iron... and men. All of those things will be evident in ordinary places. It is a time when new tools can be invented, or old griefs aired in odd ways. Take a second look at all temper tantrums, don't react in haste, and consider carefully what is offered during this phase. Check all the systems in your cars, trucks and vehicles. Machinery and fire in home situations should also be reviewed. Above all, realize that Retrogrades offer change, and change upsets the stability that was. It is a perfect time to activate change, experiment, and discover. Risks are not required, but risks in invention, thought and everyday systems will prove useful.
